Making Lemonade:

First Year Teaching Support Group

You made it through your first year. But maybe just barely.

Maybe you cried in your car. Maybe you googled "non-teaching jobs" at midnight. Maybe you spent your Sundays dreading Monday and your free periods trying to breathe.

This group is for teachers who are carrying more than they realized and are so ready to lay some of it down.

We meet weekly in a structure that feels more like a restorative yoga class than a lecture—a cozy, trauma-informed skills group designed to help you:

  • Heal from compassion fatigue and burnout

  • Rewire your nervous system so rest actually works

  • Feel confident and clear about what you need next year

The first year inevitably hands you lemons.

This summer, let’s make lemonade.

What You’ll Get:

  • Rewire your nervous system so you can actually rest—no guilt, anxiety, or bed-rotting needed.

  • Transform burnout into insight and boundaries you can trust next year.

  • Rewrite your survival story: rest and softness aren’t weaknesses. They’re your new superpowers.

You’ll also receive a beautifully designed workbook that grows with the group—part reflection journal, part practical toolkit to take with you into next school year.

What this is NOT

This is not a vent circle. This is not toxic positivity. This is not a space for "what's best for kids" or martyrdom.

This is a place to:

  • Get support from other teachers who get it

  • Learn real tools that actually help

  • Recommit to your work with boundaries, not burnout

 FAQs

  • Weekly attendance is encouraged—that’s how the group stays connected and effective. But we get it: it’s summer. If you need to miss one, that’s okay.

  • This is a skills-based therapy group with a warm, nonjudgmental vibe. You'll get real tools, not just talk. Think of it like a yoga class for your heart.

  • This isn’t just for teachers who struggled. It’s for anyone who wants to move forward with more clarity, capacity, and confidence—no matter what your year looked like.

  • This group is focused on healing and recommitting with stronger boundaries. If you’re thinking about leaving the field, let’s work together 1:1—I’d love to support you like I have with my other former teaching clients who made the transition out of teaching!
